Director of Engineering Management Program

Robert (Bob) Lepore is Director of the Engineering Management Program in the College of Engineering at the University of Arizona. He presently teaches Engineering Management and Technical Project Management and assists with coordination of the Senior Capstone project.

Bob recently retired from Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona where he worked for over 35 years. Previous to retiring Bob was vice president of Engineering at Raytheon Missile Systems. In this position, Bob directed overall execution and strategy development for the Engineering organization. Prior to his vice president role, he served as the chief engineer for the Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) where he was responsible for technical oversight of all EKV products.

He also held a variety of engineering management positions in the Missile Systems Engineering organization including director of the Electro-Optical Subsystems Center and manager of the Image Processing Department where he was responsible for design, development and testing of electro-optical seekers and fuses including design and development of algorithms and electro-optical seeker embedded software.

Bob holds two patents in image processing tracking systems. He has a BS in engineering and a MS in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Bob is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM).
